Summary Introduction Extrapulmonary and extra-spinal tuberculosis (TB) is rare, even in countries where the disease is endemic. Ten percent of these localizations are cervico-facial. Involvement of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is very unusual. We present the features of such a case. Review We looked for patients managed for TMJ TB in 2 Maxillofacial Surgery departments and in 1 Pneumology & Phthisiology Department since 1992. The second part of the study was a literature review. Background: The use of autologous platelet gel in orthopedics is effective in accelerating the healing process of osteochondral, muscle, tendon and ligament lesions. The aim of our study was to verify whether the variability in response to infiltration with platelet gel was dependent on the underlying disease treated, sex and age of the patients. During four years, 140 patients have been treated for musculoskeletal injuries by infiltration of gel platelet and lysate platelet obtained from autologous thrombin, with echo-ultrasound guided. espanolRESUMEN Objetivo: Valorar si existen cambios a nivel bucodental en adultos mayores, instrumentistas de viento-madera por el uso del instrumento a lo largo de mas de 35 anos de profesion y compararlos con un grupo control. Metodologia: Estudio de tipo observacional, descriptivo de corte transversal, entre musicos profesionales, adultos mayores, de 60 anos o mas, con mas de 35 anos de profesion y que toquen instrumentos de "viento-madera".
